A wee refresher for any new takers - this would also apply to those doing the HALF. Please put the word out. Race is early September.

I'm not likely taking part in the event but, with others, will happily lead reccies/ applicable long runs during Jun, July and August. I may however pootle round the half if there are any slower, first time HALF runners.

Worth noting too, KCaC usually do route reccies in August for both FULL and HALF.

I'll likely suggest meeting over a pint in a month or so to discuss training (for the race, not increased ale intake...).

Neil; from the "slower end" of the club I endorse your positive comments about these events. I did the half marathon in 2013 and really enjoyed it. It has all the right components to be a challenge but runnable by anyone who's got some trail experience. You don't have to be a fell flyer to have a great run.

I am having second thoughts about this, might plump for the half instead. Not sure I can face the training through summer for a marathon. I'll mull it over the next few weeks.

HALF will definitely sell out; probably not for at least a month or two yet; I don't think the FULL sells out, but event operates on a total entrant limit - option to enter the FULL then, at a later point, transfer to the HALF.
