Is Woodhouse Moor, Hyde Park Park run?

'Tis indeed Dave, Hyde Park is the area, Woodhouse Moor is the specific bit of land you run on. I've never done the HP parkrun, so I don't know how the route compares with Leeds City's HP 5k race in the summer.

As a matter of passing interest, the original Leeds City course was devised by Tahir Akhtar, now of Valley Striders around the late 80s; it was a 2 lapper which kept cutting in from the perimeter to the central roundabout and back to the perimeter via the next path. It was then modified to today's 2-and-a-bit lapper.

I'm not a parkrun enthusiast as yet. Possibly because I am too lazy to get up on a Saturday morning, and maybe because I believe it's difficult to run your best in the morning. If people are interested in improving PBs, they should try an evening race somewhere, they might get a surprise. Roll on spring!

I am not doubting the accuracy of the events, nor the ability for a parkrun course to produce a PB - I do still hold records of club members' PBs, so keep em coming.
