Just thought I'd make sure I shouted up here as well as the Facebook thread. Need some distance in the legs, so would be more comfortable with one of the <10 mile legs, but I've got a couple of months to work my way up

Could I confuse / simplify matters (depending on where you are with the planning) and ask to run leg 5?

Chap from work is running this leg for another club and can arrange a recce with him as well as any Pacers also running leg 5.

Thank you

Proposed teams for Leeds Country Way.

The good news is we have 49 runners and I have decided to go for 4 teams- I could go for 3 but I do not feel inclined to disappoint as many as 13 people.
HOWEVER - we will need more volunteers to act as reserves for each of the teams. So far I have no reserves for 3 of the teams and 1 lady reserve for the ladies team.

Please consider whether you can help by adding your name to the list of reserves, it will be a tall order to not have some of the 49 runners pull out for whatever reason. I reckon I need about 5 or 6 people of all abilities to step forward as a reserve for one of the teams.

This year we intend to field 2 Open teams, a Men's vets team and a Ladies team.

Here are proposed line ups: - (NB - ladies team to be published later this week I just want to run the proposed line up byJenny now that she is back from holiday)

Open A team.
Leg 1 - Nigel Armitage/James Clark
Leg 2 - Darren Burnley/Gary Bailey
Leg 3 - Al Chapman/Richard Gibson
Leg 4 - Paul Gaille/Jim Cantwell
Leg 5 - Robert Samuels/Simon Coughlan
Leg 6 - Karen Pickles/David Woodhead

Open B team.
Leg 1 - Mark Pawson/Mark Smith
Leg 2 - Tony Mawson/Matt Seal
Leg 3 - Andrew Smithurst/Steve Cowgill
Leg 4 -Andrew Byrom/Neil Wallace
Leg 5 - Roy Bamford/Jon Pop
Leg 6 -Graham Fisher/John Woodhead

Men's vet team.
Leg 1 -Dave Butler/Martin Robson
Leg 2 -Dave Cooper/Steve Pattison
Leg 3 -Mark Nolan/Mark Dixson
Leg 4 -Darryl Stead/Steve Boom
Leg 5 - Jim Wheldon/Dave Magee
Leg 6 - Dave Burdon/Andy Hardaker

Ladies team to follow asap.

All teams subject to change.

Many Thanks for such a great response, looks like we have some good teams to field.

OH DID I MENTION WE NEED SOME RESERVES. :)
