I'm looking at running a fast flat half marathon with my partner (new runner) in march/April/may 2014 and wondered whether any Pacers have run a half marathon anywhere that they really enjoyed and would recommend?

I'd really appreciate your help and comments!

Thanks

David

Hi David

I would check out the Sunderland Half marathon as it runs along side the Full marathon that's a particular flat course as I did the full one this year.

I would recommend the following if you are looking for fast, flat, but you'd also need a flight and a flat :)

PoznaƄ, Poland

halfmarathon.poznan.pl/en/ (This year's details still showing)

Hello David

I really enjoyed Wilmslow half this year, it was sub zero temps and the coldest race Ive ever run since I started last year! Really well organised, great scenic route with lots of support on the way round so you don't end up running on your own. nice T-shirt and medal for finishers, about an hour and a half from leeds to allow good time (dead easy on the motorways) fairly flat too (compared to Pudsey...)

definitely recommend

Thanks graham, entered last year and whilst it was a good one won't be returning this year as would like to try something different.

Thanks Sara - will look at Wilmslow. Sounds good. Also looking at Chester but will have to wait until October to apply/enter.
