Well done and thankyou to all the Pacers who ran in the Leeds Country Way yesterday. It looks like everyone enjoyed the event although unlucky Simon Coughlan had a bit of a funny turn. Thankfully I spoke to him last night and he is ok, I can only assume it was a result of dehydration as the conditions were very warm. Thanks to Richard Allen for looking out for him and to other runners who stopped to check he was ok. I haven't got any official team results I am afraid as it was quite manic in The Podger but what I can confirm is that team 20 our vets team were 7th overall and picked up the 1st vets trophy. There was some irony in this as initially we were presented with the runners up trophy and St Theresas were awarded the winners trophy beating us by 3 minutes. However Chris Gill of St Theresa's then told the organiser's that they weren't the winners as they had 3 youngsters in the team (Shades of the BMW award ceremony here I thought). Anyway we then got the winners trophy and I think we will get to keep it for a year this time. Make room in that trophy cabinet please, Now I wont be at the club for a couple of weeks but when I return I will bring the individual medals up for the winning team and also the wonderful pottery for all the runners. Thanks again to all of you and Kippax Harriers for another great day.

Glad Simon is OK, I was running the Wetherby 10k at the same time (2pm) and it was way hotter than I expected. Was on for a PB to half way but the heat got to me and had to basically jog back the last 3 miles.

Great result for the Vets team!

Well, well, well! A big thanks to you Dave for all the pre race organising, you did us all proud. And we're going to have to think of you now as some kind of 'mad tactical genius' for selecting the teams the way you did! Well done everybody for yesterday. And get well soon Simon!
