Put on your drinking shoes and your beer goggles, it’s that time of the year again. It’s Stephen Pattison’s famous, bi-annual, Christmas walk/pub crawl, taking place this August Bank Holiday Sunday 30th August 2015, 11:30 start at The Bankhouse pub car park. Women, children, dogs, gaiters, and men all welcome.
As always we will be starting and finishing at The Bankhouse pub car park. We will be walking, talking, laughing, drinking, slipping and a sliding into several pubs on the 7 mile off and on road, cross country walk, it only feels like about 3 miles though. Be prepared for some mud so sensible shoes please ladies. Some or all of the pubs we will be visiting on route are - The Greyhound, The Woodcock, Valley Inn, The Spotted Cow, The Fox & Grapes and finally we end up back at The Bankhouse pub at around 5 or 6pm.
The only pub that doesn’t allow dogs in is The Greyhound. That’s why we are all drinking outside The Greyhound pub in the images from the “Remember Last Year’s Walk, I Don’t” album.
Come along and enjoy the fresh country air and over-friendly company on a local walk. If you do not know the area good chance to get to know off road paths and trails.
No need to do the whole route, plenty of places to cut back to The Bankhouse pub if you have commitments later in the day, the sort of commitments that allow you to turn up half-cut.
P.S. Does anyone know the way ?
