Following the positive turnout at Pontefract last Saturday (well done you yellow vests), would anyone be interested in another bit of club tourism in March? I'm going to be selfish and say, at the moment, I can really only do the 26th*

Suggested venues: Dewsbury - Huddersfield - Nostell Priory

Wildcard venues: Fountains Abbey or Skipton

Thoughts?

*Adrian & Cathy Martin will complete their 50th at W-Moor on 12th March

Anybody who hasn't been - Oakwell Hall is a really good park run - gently undulating in a great off-road setting. Plenty of parking. Proper decent trail run. It's also v close to Pudsey if you come down the back way through Birstall. I should really do it more often...but I am lazy.

Dewsbury is not (IMHO) very inspiring (a 3 lapper - and it's hard!)

Wakefield Thornes Park is good one. All types of terrain . Not too busy around 100 runners. One lap.
Agree Dewsbury is not the friendliest of courses , starts on a hill , finishes on a hill and like Clarky said 1 small lap and 3 big ones. More a mental challenge .

Ok, early venue contenders for Sat 26th March:

A) Near: Oakwell Hall (but many have already visited)
B ) Mid: Wakefield Thornes Pk (multi-terrain and only one-lap)
C) Further: Nostell Priory (scenic and not too many Pacers have visited)

Vote: A, B or C

Plan is to meet in Pudsey for car share prior to travel, or p/u on way (tbc). Coffee and cake after.

Sat 26th March

Ok folks, spread the word around ability groups - Wakefield Thornes Park... doesn't look like a PB course, but the single lap route is more attractive than repeats:

Travel arrangements will be made in a few weeks, likely again meeting in Pudsey 8ish to car share. Coffee post run.
