TONIGHT:

Hope all plus 35s and guests (them pesky youngsters...) looking forward to this evening's fixture. Forecast is for dry and warm weather. Like last year will likely be a popular event.

A few final points:
1) Please wear club vest/ colours
2) Where possible, please car share and leave plenty of time; there are ongoing A65 road works and temporary traffic signals (* race HQ: Burley RUFC, opp Vesper Gate pub, A65).
3) Kindly be considerate and supportive of host club who may have to deal with evolving position relating to roadworks - if needed, Kirkstall Harriers will instruct how best to remain safe while participating in the race
4) Team photo at 7.20pm between Abbey ruins and river - brushed hair or polished solar panels optional
:silly:

See you there - Neil

Guests? The entrants from non-affiliated clubs, and those from affiliated clubs that are too young to be called vets are now referred to as Non-Scorers. Guests are not allowed per the rules.

Why teenagers and 20-summats want to run in an over-35s race is a mystery to me.

I think a few 'under age' folk like to run because it counts in the in-house so good that they are allowed otherwise I'd probably have to rule them out as counting.

Think it is great that they are welcome. Would be difficult for clubs to push this races of they alienated a whole demographic of members.
