WYWL Final Results

Postby pumadave on 2010-02-22, 15:32

Congratulations to all 60 pacers who took part in at least one of the 4 WYWL races. In terms of participation we are the biggest club in the league.

In terms of results I have received confirmation of the following

Pacers Women 3rd
Pacers Men 2nd (joint 2nd after a stewards enquiry )
Vets 1st
Combined 2nd (Will thus represent the league in the plate race on March 21st)

Indivdual Prizes galore (non for me , must try harder)

Paul Gaile 1st M40
Robert Samuels 3rd M45
Jim Wheldon 1st M55
Nigel Craven 2nd M50

Karen Pickles 1st female
Sharon Hague 1st F40

John Pop Turpin Prize

Perhaps you can take heart from the fact that you did a superb job yet again this winter being the PP rep/go between/chief rally-rounder.
Particularly when you had to make a decision on behalf of the club. It's not one I would like to have made.

Thanks for the results - what happened to the new improved results and website they were talking about??

(And thanks for the advance notice that I won the Improvers' prize. Something that the club reporters missed :( )

Just a final update. Following an additional discussion with the WYWL our Men's team have been awarded 2nd place out-right.

Results will be updated hopefully by tomorrow on the WYWL site.

Well deserved guys. Don't have to share that trophy now.

Great job, Dave. Thanks.
Also to Dewsbury and the other club reps for getting the race going last Sunday.
I'm sure those who were in your ear meant well.............

Something the club reporters knew nothing about at 9am on Monday morning - well done on the Turpin Prize Mr Pop, if you keep improving we'll have P&B knocking with a transfer request?

Now you know I'll look forward to the amendment on the latest news page.

And forget P&B - I'm a long way off a couple of years ago - I'll just settle for trying to recatch you up :)
