GWF last bits:

(1) RACE NUMBERS - just to confirm that I will be distributing home printed numbers on Tues and Thurs at club - I'll pass on to at least one person from each leg, so if you still don't have prior to race then please bring pins and an A4 plastic wallet to leg start. Emergency contact details, including mine are added on reverse; kindly add an ICE for yourself.

(2) EST TIMES - 09.30 (Leg 1 start); from 10.45 (Leg 1-2 change); from 12.00 (Leg 2-3 change); from 12.50 (Leg 3-4 change). finish from 13.45.
Err on caution and allow plenty of time to car exchange, get to leg change.

(3) BATONS - I will provide at Leg 1 for each team

(4) FUN - not to be taken too seriously - try to enjoy, be festive and remember to wear your vest along with optional fancy dress.

(5) DEBRIEF - I'm otherwise busy rest of Sat but would be good to catch up on Sunday with all available Fools maybe 4-5pm, for a couple. say in Kirkstall Bridge for a change (someone else can coordinate...)?

Hi,
Many thanks for entering the Keighley & Craven GWF.
We have a record 36 teams this year so it should be a really good Christmas social event for local clubs.
Hope everyone has a great time but there are important "rules" and details. Apologies for this but it is necessary.
See notes below - can you please ensure ALL your team's runners are aware.

The weather is forecast to be cold and possibly frosty so it is YOUR
responsibility to ensure you are fully equipped for all weather conditions.
You know the score. Full body cover.etc
It is for individual teams to look after themselves - not organisers or helpers.
No flags or markers. Just a few friendly helpers at changeovers and at UAK .
No road crossing marshalls so LOOK out for yourselves and fellow runners.

1. Each Team starting at UAK will be given a festive wooden spoon with the your Team number on. See attached team list for your number - please remember it.
2. UAK opens 8.30am
3. Timings - will be taken at each hand-over but not after mass starts. Teams who carry spoons round will be given a overall time!!
4. Route - follow the published route which is all on public paths. DO not trespass or take short cuts. Dogs not advised & no dogs in UAK.
5. Stay safe as there as numerous road crossings.
6. No under 16's on the teams - as per the guidance we have received. See website for rules.
7. Route 2 leg - follow the route on the KCAC website - via Noon Stone
8. Route 4 - slight change after you cross Dalton Lane (left along new path before Factory) - see notes on website link if you need.
9. Parking - please do NOT obstruct anyone. Car share if you can. Avoid using pub car parks - especially if you are not a customer. In East Morton avoid parking on the main road.
10. White Lion at Kildwick have said they will open for tea/coffees.
11. "Prize" giving at UAK around 2.30 pm
12. Food will be available for runners at UAK at the end.

A big thank you to Neil, for once again organising this event.

A great little race and what a day for a run! cold, crisp and sunny, excellent.

Managed to get past two fairy's in the last mile, but the elves were just too quick

Hi Joy

I dont know if you can get permission to use Wooden Tops pictures, but there were some taken on Leg 1, especially Hillary & Caroline which were taken in the spirit of this event. :)

Also I believe Neil took a few pictures at the start.
