Welcome to the Pacers, Garry.

I have a feeling that me and your dad are cousins (Roger Leedham). Hope you enjoy your running with us (although with the recent weather you'll have to ask your dad to lend you the old ice-skates).

If I am mistaken, then just put this message down to rambling, but still, welcome to PP.

Cheers, John Popiolek

Hello Jon

Thanks for the welcome,

There can't be many Roger Leedham's about in the first place, but your comment about ice skates certainly nails it!

Have you got any interesting tales about his miss-spent youth i can wind him up about?

Cheers

Garry

Hi Garry,

No. I have changed a bit since then. A bit taller, and quite a bit wider these days.

I can't think of any interesting tales of his misspent youth, unfortunately, but as he's more my sister's age I did ask her.

Drew a blank again really because he was always a "goody two shoes", she says. Though she did seem to remember that his ambition was to be a farmer, but don't know if the fact that he turned into a vegetarian scuppered that. Or it could have been the horror he experienced when all the "plants" died on his dad's lawn when he'd put some weed 'n' feed on it. Strange!

Will meet you again soon, but I can't see me coming back to the club for another 5 or 6 weeks. Someone will point me out.

Enjoy your running and give my best to your mam and dad.
