The club has received confirmation of the number of VLM entries and the draw will take place at the monthly Club Social on Thursday 29th November.

We are pleased to announce the club has received 4 entries for 2013.

There will be two draws, both subject to the same club rules set out below.

Draw 1: 3 entries will be allocated (as in previous years) to those who have been rejected following the VLM ballot. Your rejection letters need to be passed to Joy Good by Tuesday 27th November. (3 reserves will be drawn).

Draw 2: 1 entry will be drawn to anyone present at the Social and wants to run the VLM. Please note that no Committee member will take part in draw 2 this year.

The following club rules apply to both draws:

You must be a first claim member of the club;
You must have been a member of the club on 31st October 2011;
The entry cannot be deferred and if you are unable to run you must advise the Club Secretary immediately for your entry to be passed to the reserve;
This is a club entry and your club vest needs to be worn.

Really disappointed with the decision on the 4th place, all of these should have gone to people who bothered to enter the ballot. Don't understand the rationale at all for this.

Do the reserves from draw 1 also act as reserves for draw 2 or will you be drawing a separate reserve list? If someone gets drawn as a reserve in draw 1 can they still enter draw 2? If they can and won the place would you draw again for the reserve place which would then become available - from the pool of people eligible from draw 1 and not already successful?

Could be a complicated night...

Now to ensure someone will actually receive an entry on the night, we will have Draw 2, what a Marster stroke!

Seems completely unfair on those who had in good faith handed in their rejections before we knew how many places we'd be granted, but my name will definitely be going into the hat!

Just one thing - I am not on the committee, but I for one, have no respect for the rule that people on the committee cannot go into Draw 2 if they are present. If any of those who have handed in their rejections are on the committee then they should be allowed to enter Draw 2.

I am not happy either with these decisions to change the allocation procedure. I have expressed my views to the committee . Jayne
