As most of you wiill already know the Cross Country season starts on Sun 25th Nov and Pudsey Pacers are hosting the first race down in Black Carr Woods, the club would like as many runners as possible to take part in this race and the other 4 races as well so with this in mind Jayne is going to start doing some cross country training in Nov, this itraining is mainly aimed at the newer members or other members who haven't done cross country before but fancy giving it a go, experienced cross country runners are welcome to join in as well, you can pass on some advice / help etc to the newer runners if you want
Actual dates, where to meet, what time to meet etc will be posted nearer the time but feel free to speak to Jayne at the club if you want more info, one final note, off road shoes are a must, road shoes will not give you any grip at all in the mud so if you fancy getting down and dirty come along and give it a go, thanks

Cross country training will be starting on Sunday 4th Nov, meet at the Bankhouse pub car park at 10.00am.

Jayne will be taking the session out and it will be our x country route in Black Carr Woods, no more than 5 miles.

The plan is to do a route around Post Hill the following week and then the week after a run thru' the valley and then the week after it's race day, there is a Vets race on the 11th and the club is putting a coach on but for those who aren't doing the Vets races the training will still go ahead

As mentioned earlier this training is mainly for the newer runners or members who haven't done x country before but everyone is more than welcome to take part, if you are experienced in x country you may want to help out on the day ?

Off road shoes are a must for this type of terrain, if it is muddy and you are in road shoes you will not have any grip at all and you could quite easily injure yourself if you were to fall

Thanks

Kev ( on behalf of Jayne )

I'm away on 4th November and will then be attending the vets race on 11th, have the Abbey Dash the week after that (18th) - hoping I can attend at least one of Jayne's runs. How many weeks will she be doing it for?

Hi Lyndsey

Looks like you will miss all the sessions, Jayne is doing three weeks, 4th, 11th, 18th Nov, the 25th is our race, not sure if she will continue 'between' the races, prob best to ask her at the club, thanks

Kev/Jayne

I'm still out of action at the moment, and have not been to club for a few weeks, so not seen Jayne.

Sorry but I won't be able to make Sunday, so annoyed as I miss running and everyone! Hopefully the physio will start working soon!

Rachel
