I'm sure they'll have a plan B route if the works overrun.

Club Training: Thurs 21st May (YVAA Kirkstall Route)

Any interested Pacer wishing to meet 6.45pm at Bramley Fall Woods on Pollard Lane to run round the race route (albeit, not from the start/ finish area)?

Propose to form 3x pace groups with leaders: 8.30/ 10.00/ 11.30ish minute/ miles. Map copies will be provided and I'll try to mark out wood section with tape in advance.

Terrain: mostly tarmac or hard surface with less than 20% on woodland trail - road shoes will be ok, unless heavy rain occurs.

Route (on the night): loop through Bramley Fall Woods, return to Pollard Lane, cross canal and river, Rein Road *, A65 to Kirkstall Abbey **, return via same route to Pollard Lane.

* Option here for '8.30' group to cross into Hawksworth Woods or reverse Kirkstall 7 route etc.
** Acknowledge there are road works at Kirkstall Forge

Parking: limited, but should manage to easily accommodate 20-30 cars adjacent to playing fields where road levels out. Share where possible.

Optional refreshment at Abbey Inn (Pollard Lane) after run.

I'll announce at Club and share on Forum. Could all Coaches and LiRFs please encourage ALL in your training group? Kindly indicate here if likely to join or PM me for further details.
