hi dave, just back from burnsall, sorry for the delay getting back to you. as much as i'd like to run (i can now walk without a limp!) the reality is there's every chance i'd pull the hamstring again and let the whole team down so best count me out. gutted.

To be honest Steve that's what I had expected, thanks for confirming. Hope the injury clears up sooner than later and you can get back on track for your marathon.

Message 3 of 3 which is intended to give you some idea of timings

(Health Warning) These are based on last years results, different personnel, different day and therefore these can only be used as guidance. General advise is to assume people are going to get to the change over quicker than they probably will. Better to be prepared than stress yourselves out. There is nothing worse for incoming runners than to find they have nobody to hand the baton over to.

Allow time for dropping car's off at each end and parking etc. NB: For the last 3 consecutive years Leeds City Council have decided to cut the grass on the Ring Rd dual carriageway leaving 1 lane closed and slowing traffic down somewhat. This will affect leg 5 and Leg 6 runners so bear in mind the possibility of it happening again.

Hi Caroline, don't worry about reccies, should you be called upon at this late stage, I would expect your partner to have done the reccy and I would not expect you to know any of the legs at such a late stage. Thanks for being a reserve.
