4th December Bat Run confirmed. Ilkley Moor.

Headtorches and full body cover essential; I have a few spares if you are struggling.

Meeting time and place tbc. but likely 7 - 730 pm. at Cow & Calf with a jar after.

Watch this space, and please post if you intend to come.

Bedlamite night race this Thursday (15th Nov) at Silsden. See earlier post.

I'll be there - will plan out a few route options and we can choose depending on conditions on the night.

I also have a spare head torch if needed.

Enjoyed last Thursday's night race up Nab End (Silsden). Top pint in Kings Arms after. Usual counter culture - only prize is for a sweepstake based on estimating your time. Holmesy won it mind (the race, that is). I'd have been closer had I not veered off to check the local allotments - life's hard in the dark, but this kind of stuff contributes enormously to making it worth living.

New race added to Bedlamite calendar:

Thu 29/11/2012 – Stoodley Pike
Start time: 19:30
Distance: 3 miles
Starting from Mankinholes Road, below Stoodley following similar route to the evening race

I wont be there but have the Goose Eye race in my diary for 03/01; and Great Whernside two weeks later.

And remember our own Bat Run at Ilkley on the 4th December (details in an earlier post).

I'll make it along to one of these at some point, they sound good fun. Working away last week otherwise I was planning my debut at Silsden.

Proposed route for the 4th; millennium gardens, Ilkley tarn, cow and calf, backstone beck, trig point above Ilkley Craggs, haul across to badger stone, spicey gill, white wells, millennium gardens.

All welcome, Wet feet guaranteed.
