I'm also happy to drive, though I'd be happier still with a lift.......
3 people max for any degree of comfort - v small Picanto.
If I am driving I will not be in any rush to get back. Couple of beers in the locality?
As for running, I'm okay either team, any leg, though if you put me on the nav leg we might not get back until Monday! Running and thinking at the same time is asking too much of me.
Pls book me in at the bunkhouse. I'll await further instructions.

I am willing to drive as well. Probably plenty of the team at the Vets race Sunday - maybe we could confirm details of the transport then? Nige

What time are people planning on leaving on Saturday? I'll most likley be going later rather than earlier and will want to get back at a reasonable time on Sunday so happy to drive. Will take the Touran so have room for 4 in comfort

Also, I did the 3 peaks cyclocross at the wekend and bashed my knee in a fall coming off whernside. I thnk it will be ok and will make a final call by the end of the week but just a bit of a heads up in case it doesn't sort itslef out and therefore I'd have to pull out.

Take it easy then Darryl, its still 12 days.

We have several offers of transport, some with 3 places, some with 4. Thanks to all. I'd suggest going with the 4s where possible as, with Steve B, we are a dozen (Dave W travelling independently on Sunday). This would keep petrol costs down, which, of course, we should divvy up.

I'd envisaged a c. 3.30pm departure time. How does that sound?

And there's a lobby to both hang around to have a jar en route home on Sunday and get going reasonably promptly - which might well accommodate all needs. Please say which you prefer.

Final call for veggie meals after the race, only Russell so far; anyone else? I need to reply with orders tmw latest.

Did we ever get a club tent? Going to be hanging around for a bit waiting for our legs, would be good if we could have a base camp. I note on the website and event plans there's a space for club tents.

If we haven't got a club tent does anyone have a Gazebo (with sides to keep the wind out). I can bring some camping chairs, a little stove, tea and coffee etc so we can have a brew whilst we're mulling around.

If I'm doing the Nav leg it would be good to have someone who can also Nav a bit and sanity check my direction and someone who is similar ability so im not giving it everything to keep up with a racing snake and making nav erros becuase of it.

I'll look into the tent. Can you organise the other things you mentioned. Might put Steve Boom with you as he has been on my nav course.
